I feel strangely serene. I did not spend hours meditating or practicing Tai Chi. Instead, I cleaned off a section of the kitchen counter that is usually piled high with junk. Not only does it feel great to have thrown out, recycled or repurposed a mountain of miscellaneous objects, the lack of clutter in my peripheral view makes me so happy and calm, I can feel my blood pressure lower at this very moment.
How do you create space for serenity?
