Both babies are attempting to crawl. Dowan rolls to his belly then lifts up his head and pushes up with his arms. Greta, reaches forward from a sitting position until her backside is in the air. Regardless of how they get there, they both just rock front to back, getting ready to launch.
This is a great reminder of how kids learn. Some go belly first into reading, or math etc., while others investigate new skills more cautiously. Everyone moves forward in their own way. It is our job to make sure they continue to get ready to launch into the next phase, whatever that may be.
How do you support people launching into the next phase?
