Twin comparisons

We often find ourselves comparing our six month old twins. From personality to sleeping patterns, their habits and ways of being are referred to at the same time. This can often be helpful (he doesn’t like peas but she does, so pass over the jar). Occasionally, it verges on judgmental (She sits up longer than he does. He is more tranquil.)

When are comparisons helpful? When should we try to leave them behind?
