Our friend Kip will order a gourmet hamburger, eat three-quarters of it and push the rest aside. When you ask if he liked it, he’s been known to say, ” it was one of the best hamburgers ever and now I am satisfied, so I am finished.” On the other hand, I would scarf down the whole thing, relishing each bite, even after being full.
Most of the time, I find myself seeking more… more food, more minutes of instruction, more items accomplished. Instead, I want to try to be aware of the beauty of satisfaction…a perfectly balanced state of satiation. What about you?
