Tonight was supposed to be Date Night. For years, we have held hands while sharing a laptop and watching Grey’s Anatomy on Friday nights. While we hoped that everyone would stay asleep long enough to sit through a 45 minute show…that was not be. Instead, it was sharing a laptop, with closed captions, in bed, with a semi awake baby, for 20 minutes and occasionally bumping elbows while maneuvering said baby and laptop. We did not give up on Date Night but had to think differently about it.
How can we replace the temptation to give up by thinking differently?
