Inconvenient needs

We have two happy, low key babies that smile, sit and roll. They do not sleep. My wife and I have a theory that they are so patient with us meeting everyone else’s needs throughout the day, they figure from 8pm on it is finally their turn for some one on one attention. This makes sense. It also makes laundry, lesson planning and spousal communication very challenging. Yes, it might be time for sleep training, but this has also given me the opportunity to think about other times when people have inconvenient needs. For example, I am thinking about many bathroom breaks on a short road trip to needing to make copies at the same time. How do we deal (gracefully) with the inconvenient needs of others?
