Most of my life, I have had a deep desire to be needed. Forty-three students and four kids later, needing to be needed is the furthest thing from my mind. What I need most now is a chunk of time with no external demands. My wife graciously agreed to “fly solo” with the kids, and at the end of the week, I will escape to the Adirondacks to breathe in clean, crisp air on my own.
How do we honor our changing needs as our lives evolve?
